The 2026 MotoGP Season
MotoGP is the premier class of motorcycle grand prix racing — the two-wheeled equivalent of Formula 1, and arguably louder. The 2026 season features 20 rounds across Europe, Asia and the Americas, running from March through November.
Each race weekend follows a set structure. Free practice and qualifying run across Friday and Saturday, with the Sprint race on Saturday afternoon and the main Grand Prix on Sunday. The Sprint — a shorter, half-distance race introduced in 2023 — has quickly become a highlight, offering a separate result and a different kind of racing. A weekend ticket covers all of it.
Most circuits offer a choice between general admission and grandstand seating. General admission gives you freedom to move around the circuit and find your own vantage point — many fans prefer this for the variety. Grandstands give you a fixed, elevated view of a specific corner or straight. The best grandstands tend to be at heavy braking zones and chicanes, where you'll see the most overtaking.
MotoGP also runs alongside Moto2 and Moto3 — the feeder series — so there's racing on track for most of the day. If you're new to the sport, a race weekend is a full sensory experience: the noise, the speed and the accessibility are hard to beat. Paddock and pit lane walks are often available with hospitality packages, and the riders are generally more approachable than in any other top-tier motorsport.
Common Questions

Contact support- What does a MotoGP race weekend look like?
Race weekends run Friday to Sunday. Friday is practice, Saturday has qualifying and the Sprint race, and Sunday is the main Grand Prix. Support races (Moto2, Moto3) run throughout the weekend too. A single-day Sunday ticket gets you the main event, but a weekend pass gives you the full experience.
- What's the difference between general admission and a grandstand?
General admission lets you roam the circuit freely and watch from open areas and hillsides — it's popular with regulars who know the best spots. A grandstand gives you a reserved seat with a clear, elevated view of one section of track. If it's your first race, a grandstand at a braking zone or chicane is a good place to start.
- Which MotoGP races have the best atmosphere?
The European rounds tend to draw the biggest and loudest crowds. Mugello (Italian GP) is famous for its tifosi atmosphere on the hillsides. Assen (Dutch TT) has been running since 1949 and is known as the "Cathedral of Motorcycling." Silverstone, Barcelona and Misano also deliver strong race-day energy.
- How loud is it? Do I need ear protection?
MotoGP bikes are loud — noticeably more so than F1 cars. Ear plugs are strongly recommended, especially in grandstands close to the track. Most circuits sell them on-site, but bringing your own is safer.
- Are Sprint race tickets sold separately?
No. The Sprint takes place on Saturday afternoon as part of the regular race weekend schedule. A Saturday or weekend ticket covers it. You don't need a separate ticket.
- Can I visit the paddock or pit lane?
With a standard ticket, no — paddock access is restricted. However, many circuits offer pit lane walk experiences (usually on Thursday or Friday) as part of a hospitality package or as a separate add-on. Check the specific event page for availability.
- How early should I book?
Popular rounds like Mugello, Silverstone and Assen can sell out well in advance, especially for the better grandstands. For smaller rounds, you'll usually find tickets available closer to the date. Booking early gives you the best seat selection.
