No. 1 Court at Wimbledon's All England Club opened its doors in 1997, offering 12,345 seats for tennis fans. It serves as the primary venue for the Wimbledon Championships and occasionally welcomes Great Britain's Davis Cup home ties. The current stadium replaced an earlier No. 1 Court that had operated since 1924 on the west side of Centre Court. That original venue accommodated up to 7,328 spectators and hosted 67 editions of the Championships before its demolition. The site was repurposed for the Millennium Building, which now houses a media centre and facilities for players, members, and club officials.
