Parc des Princes is a Paris stadium in the 16th arrondissement, in the south-west of the city. All seats are covered across four stands—Tribune Borelli, Tribune Auteuil, Tribune Paris, and Tribune Boulogne—and the ground can hold 47,929 spectators. It has been Paris Saint-Germain's home since 1974, and before the Stade de France opened in 1998, it also hosted France's national football and rugby union teams. The current stadium, designed by architects Roger Taillibert and Siavash Teimouri, opened on 25 May 1972. This is the third venue built on the site; earlier stadiums occupied the location in 1897 and 1932. PSG's record home crowd came in 1983, when nearly 50,000 watched a 2–0 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup victory. The stadium's absolute attendance record belongs to the French rugby union side, who drew 50,370 fans for a 31–12 win over Wales during the 1989 Five Nations Championship.
