Berlin's Olympiastadion stands within Olympiapark Berlin as Germany's premier venue for international football. Originally built for the 1936 Summer Olympics under architect Werner March, it has evolved far beyond its athletic roots. Following extensive renovation work completed in 2004, the stadium now holds 74,475 spectators and carries UEFA category four status. The venue has hosted some of football's biggest moments. Hertha BSC has called it home since 1963, whilst the stadium itself has welcomed the DFB-Pokal final each year since 1985. It staged six matches during the 2006 FIFA World Cup, including the tournament final, and later hosted the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. The 2015 UEFA Champions League final and six matches from UEFA Euro 2024—including the final—were also held here.
