Estadio de La Cartuja sits on Isla de La Cartuja in Seville and serves primarily as a football venue. Originally built in 1999 to host the World Championships in Athletics, the stadium underwent expansion work in 2025. With 70,000 seats, it ranks as Spain's fourth-largest stadium and the biggest in Andalusia. The venue has hosted major European football occasions—most notably the 2003 UEFA Cup final between Celtic and Porto. Today it functions as the temporary home of Real Betis whilst their own ground, Estadio Benito Villamarín, undergoes renovation.
