Easter Road welcomes fans to Hibs' home in Edinburgh's Leith area. The ground holds a special place in Scottish football history—it's where Hibernian has played since 1893, and where 65,860 spectators witnessed an Edinburgh derby on 2 January 1950, a record attendance for any Scottish match staged outside Glasgow. Known affectionately by supporters as "The Holy Ground" or "The Leith San Siro", the stadium has hosted international fixtures and Scottish League Cup semi-finals, plus a spell as home to an Edinburgh rugby union side. Today's Easter Road is an all-seated venue with a capacity of 20,421, making it Scotland's fifth-largest football ground. The stadium underwent significant transformation: redevelopment began in 1995 and was completed in 2010, with the pitch's notable slope removed in 2000. In the 1980s, terracing was substantially reduced. Plans to relocate the club were considered after the Taylor Report but ultimately shelved in 1994, keeping Hibs rooted at this historic Leith location.
