Celtic Park stands as Scotland's largest football stadium, with a capacity of 60,832, making it the eighth-biggest in the United Kingdom. Located in Parkhead, Glasgow, the ground is home to Celtic and carries the alternate names Parkhead and Paradise. The club's original stadium opened in 1888, but Celtic relocated to the current site four years later after facing a steep increase in rental costs. What began as an oval-shaped ground with extensive terracing evolved significantly over the decades. Covered terraces and floodlights arrived between 1957 and 1971, followed by a major transformation: the old terraces were demolished and rebuilt as an all-seater stadium in phases, completed in August 1998. Rail seating was added in 2016. Beyond football, the stadium has hosted Scotland internationals and Cup Finals, whilst also serving as a venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, concerts, and historical events including track cycling championships and open-air Masses. The ground holds the Old Firm derby attendance record of 83,500, set on 1 January 1938.
