The Baku City Circuit winds through Azerbaijan's capital as a street-racing venue built alongside Baku Boulevard. At 6.003 kilometres, it ranks as the fourth-longest track on the Formula One calendar, trailing only Spa-Francorchamps, Jeddah Street Circuit, and the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. Formula One arrived in 2016 with the European Grand Prix and its supporting races. The following year marked the debut of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, establishing the circuit as a permanent fixture on the championship calendar. The Baku City Circuit Operation Company oversees all race organisation at the venue.
