Portimão's home circuit spans 4.653 kilometres through the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Beyond the main racing surface, the venue incorporates a karting track, off-road facilities, a technology park, a five-star hotel, sports complex, and residential apartments on site. Ricardo Pina Arquitectos designed the facility, which opened to racing traffic in October 2008 following homologation from the FIM and FIA that same month. The complete development carried a construction cost of €195 million, positioning it as a substantial investment in Portugal's motorsport infrastructure.
