Arthur Ashe Stadium sits at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens, serving as the centrepiece of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and the main venue for the US Open. With a capacity of 23,771, it stands as the world's largest tennis stadium. The facility honours Arthur Ashe, the 1968 US Open champion and the first winner after the tournament opened to professional competitors. When the stadium opened in 1997, it lacked a roof—a limitation that proved problematic as weather delays mounted year after year. To address this, a lightweight retractable roof was installed and completed in 2016, giving the tournament greater control over scheduling. Players entering the court pass through an entrance passageway marked by a plaque bearing words from Billie Jean King: "Pressure is a privilege." It's a fitting reminder at one of tennis's most demanding stages.
