Adelaide Oval sits within Adelaide's parklands and has been a sporting hub since 1871, when it became headquarters to the South Australian Cricket Association. The venue hosts cricket and Australian rules football as its primary sports, though rugby league, rugby union, soccer, and tennis also feature regularly. It's equally at home as a concert venue. A major redevelopment between 2012 and 2014 refreshed the grounds and structures. The oval features three grandstands—Riverbank, Eastern, and Western—alongside a heritage-listed scoreboard that now sits beside a modern digital display. The newly opened Oval Hotel, which arrived in 2024, marks another chapter in the venue's evolution. The South Australian National Football League made Adelaide Oval its home in 2014. Since 2019, the venue has hosted the AFLW Grand Final on three occasions, cementing its role in Australian sport's biggest moments.
