HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX FROM THE HUNGARORING
Located on the outskirts on Budapest, the Hungaroring was the first race to take place behind the Iron Curtain and has been on the F1 calendar ever since. Due to its tight and twisty nature (only 5 miles in length), and often described as a big go-kart track, overtaking is a challenge. Despite this, a win at the Hungaroring is often a hint of things to come; Damon Hill took his first ever win at the Hungaroring, as did Fernando Alonso, and Jenson Button. Being located near Budapest, the Hungaroring is also a fantastic location to spend a long weekend. With its fantastic architecture, great night-life, and abundance of bath-houses, Budapest should be on everyone’s F1 list.
